- Session 00 – Introduction
Bjorn’s son and Sigurd’s brother, who travelled with the group from Mistreach to Kintargo.
A priest of the Wolfmother with a shaved head and filed, pointed teeth, and mismatched eyes: one ice blue, one grey. Ragnar is mad, and everyone in Mistreach knows it; but it is the kind of madness the village has always taken as a sign of the divine, as if the Mother spoke through him more loudly than through anyone else.
On the night Mistreach fell the spirits took hold of him, and through his mouth they ordered the group to “defend the Vigil”; it was Ragnar who sent them to the druids’ grove, where the relic was hidden. He sailed with them from Birka across the sea to Skarvik, Vyre and Kintargo, never quite forgetting a certain pastry chef from Birka. In Kintargo it was he who urged the group to get rid of the cursed spiked chain taken in Vyre, and Freya threw it into the sea.
When Sigurd dreamed of their father, and learned that Bjorn had been killed by Ivar and that his soul had been stolen on its way to the Mother, Ragnar woke up beside himself with rage. He could not accept that the Wolfmother had done nothing. His faith broke, and his powers went with it. When Bite and Erik left Kintargo to go back north, Ragnar went with them.
