00. Introduction

Date: 9 Arodus 4734 AR (1 day before the fall of Mistreach)

Astrid meets Freya in the longhouse, where Freya had stopped before going back to the circle after trading furs for provisions. Shortly after, Sigurd and Ragnar join them.

Suddenly a horn sounds, and a small group of undead tries to attack Mistreach.

They are all destroyed and driven back, but the attack raises doubts and uncertainty among the Vikings.

Only 36 years have passed since the last battle against the lich, and no one expected the undead to return so soon.

After the battle the Jarl doesn’t believe Olso, who says that something strange is going on; he thinks the attack was an isolated episode.

The group is sent to the druids to bring them the news, but once they arrive Bite, the head of the circle, warns them that a horde of undead is marching on Mistreach.
